The Question Of Prime Minister’s Chair
May 9, 2008 — Zubli ZainordinThe Next Leader Sitting On The Chair Of The Prime Minister Of Malaysia
Every nation shall elect her top leader to be sitting on the top most Chair. In the United States of America, we see 3 of a few candidates - John McCain from the Republican, and two from Democrat - Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In Malaysia, two names emerges especially after the Malaysian 12th General Election. They are Mohd Najib Abdul Razak and Anwar Ibrahim.
For those taking the cue from Mahathir Mohamad, these two are no longer his choice, and both will not get his endorsement nor support.
But from the total, a part will not pay attention to this cue from Mahathir Mohamad. This part is divided, partly prefers Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, and the other part prefers Anwar Ibrahim.
Now, is the question, the next Prime Minister Of Malaysia, Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, or Anwar Ibrahim?
Perhaps, we Malaysian can begin to individually ask, what kind of a Leader whom I prefer to sit on the Chair and to lead the people and the country of Malaysia.
This can include Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, Anwar Ibrahim, and a few others whom are not emerging right now yet potentially can better lead while sitting on the Chair.
It is now better that we hear this potential individuals to present each of the plan as a leader, so that we shall know and recognized him (or her) as the leader to be sitting on the Chair as the Prime Minister Of Malaysia.
We know, both Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, and Anwar Ibrahim are able leaders. We are also aware, that each is tag with information, yes personal, yet to be proven, that cast a certain question of the kind of a leader each shall be, when given sitting on the Chair.
So, changing the question from either or, to the kind of a leader we prefer, opens up a possibility for a leader such as Muhyiddin Yassin.
Will we Malaysians be ready for a Lim Guan Eng, for example.
Possibly, a Saravanan.
Even, an Azalina Othman.
The focus then is not this individual’s color or creed, affiliation nor race, gender or otherwise, but his or her leadership.
To me, at this point in time, these possibilities are exciting.
The God willing, more on this, the kind of a leader we Malaysians prefer to sit on the Chair and to lead us the people and the country, Malaysians and Malaysia.
